Ann Oram was born in London in 1956. She studied at Edinburgh College of Art from 1976 to 1982 and later, she became a part-time lecturer there. Ann was elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour in 1986. Following that, she became a visiting lecturer at the University of Northumbria in 1988.
