Tiffany Panter and Matthew Hall met while working together in a commercial contemporary gallery in the West End of London...
In 2000 they decided to branch out and open their own fine art gallery, taking a lease on a small Georgian building in Shepherd Market, in the heart of Mayfair, and six years later they added the St James’s gallery Oakham Contemporary to the business, trading from both premises for five years. By 2011 they had outgrown the Shepherd Market gallery and consolidated both galleries into the Bury Street site, branding it solely as Panter & Hall. A lease end in Bury Street in 2013 saw P & H moving to Pall Mall for the first time. A decade later they are now settled in a brand new gallery further down Pall Mall opposite the Reform Club. A new branch was opened in Cecil Court in 2015 expanding into the adjoining space in 2020 and is still going strong.
A quarter of a century on, with more than three hundred exhibitions and over a hundred art fairs behind us we have forged a solid reputation for dealing in art and artists of talent and value. We look forward to the next twenty-five years of Panter & Hall with excitement and relish if no longer with the advantage of youth!
