STEVEN SPURRIER: A RETROSPECTIVE

20th Feb – 6th March

The latest release of drawings from the Estate of Steven Spurrier RA. This remarkable draughtsman enjoyed a long and successful career as a fine artist and as a commercial illustrator, covering some of the great events of the day for the Illustrated London News. He recorded national disasters and celebrations alike, with a deft line and a wry wit. This collection brings together works of domestic intimacy and fascinating scenes of twentieth century British history, drawn from life.
