The current dynamic president of the New English Art Club, Peter is universally known as ‘Pete the Street’ after his practice of painting in the streets of our major cities in all hours and weathers. He took his foundation year in Bath before graduating from Manchester. He returned to Bath in 1993 and still lives and works there today. He now travels worldwide in search of inspiration but retains his discipline of weathering whatever the elements can throw at him while practicing what he calls ‘See and put’ painting. He has won many awards at various national exhibitions including the Critic’s Choice Prize at the NEAC half a dozen times. His work is held in numerous public and corporate collections, including the RAC Club, The Holburne Museum, Bath, the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath, the Howard de Walden Estate and the National Library of Wales.
