Hans Larsson was a Swedish painter born in Malmo. He studied at Scanian painting and technical school in Malmo. He was known as a religious painter with a style noticeably influenced by George Rouault and Emile Nolde. However this work dates to his earliest active period between 1928-1937 when he was working and exhibiting in Copenhagen having felt the Danes were more sympathetic to his work than his native Swedes.
