There’s something quietly satisfying about working with clay—its willingness to be shaped, its unpredictability in the kiln, and the way it holds onto the intentional and unintentional touch of the maker. Each piece in this catalogue is a small testament to a connection between hand and material, intention and accident, ambition and ability. My journey with ceramics has been one of steady exploration, and I’m grateful to have found a kindred spirit in Panter & Hall. Their warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine appreciation have made our collaboration feel less like business and more like friendship and it is a source of great pride and pleasure to me. This collection reflects the quiet process of making—of shaping something slowly, conjuring up an idea and letting it develop, and ultimately sharing it with others. I hope you find pieces here that speak to you, too.
Due to the delicate nature of Derek’s ceramic sculptures, they will not be available for shipping; instead, we ask you to collect any purchases from our Cecil Court gallery.
