However, as he is internationally collected and sits in many public collections including the Tate and what’s more was a much respected professor of painting at the Royal Academy Schools, then I accept I’m in the minority. Of the hundreds of Adams’ paintings I’ve seen over the decades this yellow explosion of sunflowers is the one I wanted to own.
