
Born in 1937, Salliann taught art in London schools and Coworth Park School, Sunningdale from 1960 to 1988. She studied contemporary fine art at the West Surrey College of Art and Design in Farnham between 1988 and 1993, whilst running painting courses at Philippa House, Wiltshire and at Dedham Hall, Essex from 1987. Her paintings have been exhibited widely at the societies in the Mall Galleries and at commercial galleries throughout the UK and North America. She has won a number of awards at the Royal Watercolour Society Open Exhibition, Pastel Society and the New English Art Club, winning the Critic’s Prize at the latter in 2014. She is an elected member of the Royal Watercolour Society and of the New English Art Club. Both Bloomsbury and Cassel have published her works on watercolour painting.
