Born in 1944, Barbara studied at Chelsea School of Art from 1975 to 1979, winning the Christopher Head Scholarship whilst there and representing the college at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. She has exhibited at the Portrait Award Exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibitions, New English Art Club, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Royal Institute of Painters in Oil, Royal Society of British Artists, Royal Watercolour Society, The London Group, Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Art competition and the Discerning Eye. Barbara has won many awards at the societies including the de Laszlo Medal at the and, in addition to numerous exhibitions at private galleries, has shown at the Royal Society of British Artists where she is an elected member. She is currently secretary of The Small Paintings Group.
