
Anne trained at Nottingham College of Art, followed by five years at the Royal Academy Schools. Whilst at the latter she won the David Murray Landscape Scholarship twice and Silver & Bronze medals for life painting & portrait painting. She has held sixteen solo shows and exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, The Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Paris Salon where she won the Medaille D’Argent. Anne is a member of the Royal Society of British Artists, the Paisley Art Institute and the New English Art Club where she won the Horan Prize in 2010. Past prizes have included the Agnes Reeve Award twice, for a painting of London and in 1980 was made Straker Artist of the Year. Her work is hung in the Candie Museum collection in Guernsey. Various murals including two large commissions painted for the Head Office of McAlpines Construction and for the General Dental Council building in London. She is a Past President of the Small Paintings Group.
