10th March - 1st April

David FeBland

His highly narrative, delightfully quirky work is diffused with David's distinctive sense of humour. Seen through the FeBland lens, his is a world populated by beautifully observed characters, negotiating situations and environments that travel from the joyously absurd to the frankly sinister. David clearly takes great pleasure in his work and the mirror that it holds up to the failings, foibles and occasional flashes of dignity of his fellow humanity. An artist of national reputation in America we are delighted to be hosting David’s third solo exhibition in London.

14th April – 7th May

John Brenton

There are a decreasing number of hardy artistic souls who continue the tradition of plein air painting and John is certainly one of the hardiest. A Plymouth born artist he has long braved the Cornish coast in all weathers, brushes in hand. The result is a hard won talent for capturing the full force of the elements and their effect on the beaches and dunes of the South West. John's paintings are always a joy to see and to own and as much of his appeal lies in his application of paint to achieve a richly textured surface we strongly recommend a visit to the exhibition.

12th May – 4th June

Warwick Fuller

A London solo exhibition by one of Australia's foremost living landscape painters. Another plein air painter, Warwick spends weeks trekking through the Blue Mountains of New South Wales to absorb and record his impressions of that unique area. As he himself says "I have been painting full-time since 1978 and still can't compare the controlled studio calmness to the thrill of painting from life with all my senses activated....How can I paint a frosty morning if I don't have cold feet!"

9th – 25th June

Mark Demsteader

This Manchester based artist is without doubt amongst the most popular figurative painters working in Britain today. His powerful depictions of the female form in clean assured lines of charcoal and gouache have sparked a renaissance of interest in traditional life drawing throughout the collecting fraternity. We are now collaborating with the leading Japanese commercial art dealer, Rocky Degawa to bring Mark's work to the Far East, his first solo exhibition opens in Tokyo in 2010.

15th September – 1st October

Artists of Fame and Promise

As ever all our regular artists will be producing their finest work of the year to showcase in this, our largest mixed exhibition in Panter & Hall's calender. It serves the dual purpose of launching our annual gallery brochure, this year being edition XI.

6th - 22nd October

Alex Russell Flint

Alex is a leading proponent of the recent resurgence of interest in traditional painting techniques, his exquisitely crafted representational oils rank amongst the finest examples of contemporary realism. Although already making his mark in the art world Alex is very much an up and coming star to keep an eye on.

17th November – 3rd December

Glen Preece

Glen started painting as a child prodigy in 1960s Sydneyand has grown to be recognised as one of Australia’s best known figurative artists. His distinctive approach to form and perspective owes much to Cubism and, in his figures, Modigliani. His evident humour and joie de vivre have earned him a large and enthusiastic following throughout Australia and Europe.

8th – 23rd December

Alan Kingsbury

Alan has created a dimension of slightly bemused out of their time characters inhabiting a world devoid of technology bar the odd bakerlite contraption and classic car. Endless summers abound, striped blazers, seaside boaters and improbable musical instruments are his leitmotifs embellished with a technical mastery of the paintbrush that equals any figurative painter working today.
