Stuart Pearson Wright (born 1975) Stuart's degree show at the Slade two years ago caused a sensation, his work had by then already hung in the Singer Friedlander, the Hunting Art Prize and the Royal Academy. In 1998 he won the Travel Prize at the BP Portrait Awards which allowed him a much publicised solo exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery a year later. The press described him as a modern Hogarth and the most talented British figurative painter of his generation. |
