Harriet Salt (born 1975) Harriet Salt was born in 1975 in Hampshire. At the age of 15 she won an art scholarship to Charterhouse School in Godalming and then went onto study English Literature and Art at Oxford Brookes, where she specialised in photography, print making and the Fine Art. It was here she developed her interest in portraiture. In 1999, Harriet moved to Florence to join the Charles H. Cecil School. She won a scholarship which enabled her to stay in Florence for three years. The eight terms she spent there allowed her to engage in the teachings of the classical techniques of drawing and painting. In her third year she taught portrait painting at an intermediate level. Harriet has had successful exhibitions in both London and Hampshire. She now lives in Winchester and paints from her studio in Corehampton. View all works by Harriet Salt on the P&H website |
