Sunderland Rollinson (1882 - 1952) Born in Knaresborough, Rollinson painted and worked in Yorkshire all his life. He studied under Albert Strange at Scarsborough School of Art before continuing his studies at the Royal College of Art in London under Gerald Moira. He taught painting at Hull College of Art, where he was appointed principal, until his retirement in 1937. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Walker Art Gallery, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Paris Salon. |
