Jonathan Robertson (born 1947)

Jonathan's popular figurative compositions are now well known to collectors of contemporary Scottish paintings. His paintings are populated with distinctive thickset characters, often fishermen at work on the shore, each figure suffused with Jonathan's gentle observational humour. His work, very much the product of the Glasgow School, can be found in the permanent collections of Arthur Anderson, Ernst & Young and the Glasgow Art Gallery.
