Tin Odescalchi (born 1964)

Born in Holland of Hungarian extraction. Tin trained at the Gloucestershire College of Art in the 1980s before attending the Vienna Academie where she studied under Prof Rudolph Hausner. She returned to England and began a career as an equestrian artist, specialising in portraits of racehorses and event horses. Her love of portraiture continues but now horses are replaced by human sitters and nudes. Tin has held one man shows internationally in Hong Kong, Chicago and South Carolina, USA. In 2000 Panter & Hall hosted a solo exhibition of Tin’s paintings entitled ‘Soho’ – recording the life and daily activities of market traders and working girls in Berwick Street.
