Alberto Morrocco at The Panter and Hall Fine Art Gallery

'Landscape near Anticoli, 1958'

Oil on canvas, 20" x 16"

Alberto Morrocco OBE RSA RP RSW RGI (1917-1998)

A much loved figure in the Scottish art world his personality and his paintings dominated the scene for nearly half a century.  His popular figurative paintings hang in the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art and many corporate collections including Flemings and Mercury Asset Management.  A dual career as a portrait painter led him to depict a wide variety of sitters from HM The Queen Mother to the President of Iceland.  Since his death in 1998 his work has become increasingly difficult to find, we are always interested in purchasing his work.
