John Maclauchan Milne RSA (1885-1957)

Studying initially under his father, Joseph Milne, he travelled widely in France between 1919 and 1932.  He exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Glasgow Institute from 1912 until 1954, and in London and New York.  He knew and was to a certain extent influenced by Peploe, Cadell and Duncan Grant.  A centenary exhibition was held of his work at Dundee Art Gallery in 1985.
