"Mary Fedden's beautiful paintings often include ceramics. When I made the first bowl inspired by "The Spanish Chair", I did not realise that it existed only in Mary's imagination. Intrigued by seeing a three dimensional piece, created from an imagined bowl, Mary subsequently asked me to make the ceramics for her exhibition at the Coram Gallery in 1996. Since then I have had her kind permission to make limited editions (signed and numbered) of ceramics, directly inspired by her paintings. Each piece is entirely made and painted individually by hand, so there will be some variations within each edition."
