William Lee-Hankey RWS RI ROI RE RBA (1869-1952) A popular English Impressionist painter, Lee-Hankey is best know for his studies of the land and people around the coast of Northern France. He studied at the Royal College of Art and later in Paris, returning to live in France for long periods. His career spanned half a century, exhibiting with many of the British societies and being elected member of most. His paintings were collected worldwide throughout his lifetime and often reappear on the auction market in North America. |
