Karl Hagedorn RI RBA RSMA NS NEAC (1889 - 1969)

A painter in oil and watercolours of Landscapes, marines, portaits and figure subjects. Hagedorn was born in Berlin but moved to England in 1905. He studied in Manchester, at the Slade School in London and in the ateliers of Paris. Throughout his career he exhibited at the the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal institute, the New English Art Club and other leading London and provincial galleries. His work can be found in the collections of The British Museum, The Whitworth in Manchester and the French State Collections.
