Kenneth Gribble (born 1925)

Born in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, Gribble attended Harrow School of Art before completing his studies at Camberwell in the late 1940s. Here he absorbed the teaching of Coldstream, Rogers, Gowing and Pasmore whose influence is evident in his painting. He pursued a career in art education while continuing to paint and exhibit fulltime. His work is held in the collections of Manchester City Art Gallery and the corporate collections of Ilminster, Salford and Middlesborough.
