Anthony Devas ARA RP NEAC (1911 - 1958)

Studied at the Slade in the late 1920s. A sensitive painter, he established himself as a successful portraitist. He was commissioned by the HAC to paint HM The Queen in 1957. He is represented in the Tate and a memorial exhibition was held at Agnew's in 1959.
