Edmund Thornton Crawford RSA (1806-1885) Trained at the Trustee's Academy, Crawford visited Holland in 1831, the first of several visits. He painted Scottish fishing villages, rivers and landscapes in both oil and watercolour and his restrained colours and northern skies have a close affinity to the Dutch School.
