Elizabeth Blackadder OBE RA RSA RSW (born 1931)

Born in Falkirk she studied at Edinburgh College of Art.  Her many travels to Italy, France and Japan have proved a great inspiration and influence on her work and techniques.  She was a lecturer at Edinburgh College from 1962 to 1986.  Her work can be found in the public collections of the National Portrait Gallery, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, the Tate, the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow Museum and Art Gallery and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
