After she trained in Illustration and Stained Glass at Camberwell School of Art and Design (1975-1978), Lisa Graa Jensen freelanced for Radio Times and BBC publications, Puffin and Kestrel Books (Gudrun). She enjoys painting vibrant happy scenes of people and animals in their everyday lives and domestic activities set within a seasonal backdrop of autumnal trees or summer flowers. These are influenced from living in rural France and life around Wimbledon Common and leafy Surrey.
Often Lisa’s images are used as greeting cards and book jackets (via Bridgeman Images) for companies such as Kingsmead (award at Mall Galleries 1996) Dry Red Press (award at Mall Galleries 2015),Museums and Galleries, Camden Graphics and many others.
Lisa Graa Jensen has been a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours since 1996 and a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Artists since 2014.
Recent awards are Dry Red Press (at Mall Galleries 2015), Global Artists, Artist of the Year 3rd prize 2016 and Artists and Illustrators magazine award (2008 and 2018).
