The late John Boyd was described by fellow painter, Michael Scott, as "the quiet master of contemporary Scottish painting". John's paintings received wide recognition and many of the country's better private collections hold at least one example of his work. He is represented in many public and corporate collections worldwide including the ubiquitous Flemings Collection. One of the most important Scottish figurative painters of the late 20th century his potential is still to be fully realised in the market place.
